Our doors are open and ready for your great ideas. Our ballroom has been used for markets, small concerts, private parties, weddings, anniversary gatherings, drag shows, and hosting classes. What will you do with our ballroom? This rental gives you access to our ballroom, lobby, two bathrooms, and outdoor green space. Our ballroom has an occupancy of 100 people. Please be aware that this is a large historic property with limited climate control, our ballroom temperatures can only cool or heat 15 degrees difference from the outdoor temperature. The Chariton is a historic event space in St. Louis, located at 4301 South Broadway. With documented roots going back to the building’s early 20th-century life as a neighborhood drink parlor and later as The Chariton restaurant, the venue is being restored to honor the past while creating unforgettable gatherings in the present. The Chariton offers a setting that’s intentionally not a blank slate—history is part of the experience—while maintaining a classic, welcoming approach for weddings, private events, and community rentals. There is onsite parking next door and we are located next to a highway for easy access Evening bookings are for $100 an hour with a minimum booking of 2 hours.
